13 Sep 2011: Updated the movie and tv database with titles and years of stuff bought in the last 3 years. Made it so that the homepage pulls the titles and authors of the books I'm currently reading from my reading log and pulls cover images from the Open Library using the ISBNs.Made the homepage pull quotes from the quote database.

14 Mar 2010: Updated and tweaked the book log again. Edited vector goose image to add color. Installed Joomla for experimentation at www.spjg.com.

1 Jan 2010: Updated and tweaked the book log again.

20 Dec 2009: Updated and tweaked the book log.

10 Aug 2009: Fixed the links from my cs.princeton site to the images hosted at somepeoplejugglegeese.com that got broken when I split spjg.com off to play with WordPress. Also made a separate Quantcast tag for somepeoplejugglegeese.com. Senselessly updated a few pages on the cs.princeton site.

10 Jul 2009: Played with Illustrator and Photoshop and made a new goose image. (Still needs improvement.) Altered backgrounds.

9 Jun 2009: Tweaked the book list again. Thought about upgrading reading log. Inaugurated new USB flatbed scanner.

8 Jun 2009: Added 5 movies and updated reading log. Improved the see all books list (now displays authors' names).

Quote

What shall I do with my books,' was the question; and the answer 'Read them' sobered the questioner. But if you cannot read them, at any rate handle them and, as it were, fondle them. Peer into them. Let them fall open where they will. Read on from the very first sentence that arrests the eye. Then turn to another. Make a voyage of discovery, taking soundings of uncharted seas…. Arrange them on your own plan, so that if you do not know what is in them, you at least know where they are. If they cannot be your friends, let them at any rate be your acquaintances. If they cannot enter the circle of your life, do not deny them at least a nod of recognition.
—Winston Churchill

What is "Some People Juggle Geese"?

It's a quote from Joss Whedon's defunct sci-fi/western tv show Firefly. I take it to be a positive statement about the richness of the human experience. This website is not about Firefly or Joss Whedon, nor even about the human experience per se. It's about my human experience. I don't juggle geese, but hopefully you'll be interested in some of the things I do instead.
